As increasingly complex and extended conflicts plague our world in the midst of a pandemic, reporting on women, peace and security is affected by the scope of coverage, by a lack of women journalists in conflict zones and by diminished or nonexistent capacity of local media, particularly in extended conflicts or post-conflict environments. UN Women is hosting a virtual panel discussion featuring leading women reporters and/or editors who bring a gender lens to their work and, who also encounter gendered hurdles in covering war and other conflicts, and who play a crucial role in enlightening the public on these issues.
